SERVPRO of Spring Valley/Jamul Makes Storm Damage Retreat.
Storms can cause damage that can multiply to other areas of your home. When you have different types of storm damage, SERVPRO® of Spring Valley/Jamul professionals are Here to Help. ®
SERVPRO of Spring Valley/Jamul
One reason we compare toddlers to storms (watch out for Hurricane Janie!) is they’re both destructive, although the former bounce back after all-too-brief naps. Powerful storms can leave behind downed trees, lightning strikes, windblown patio sets, and water damage. Every feature of storm (wind, hail or rain, lightning) can cause its own kind of damage, with much of the damage capable of leading to additional damage.
If a storm tears through your community/public, commercial, or residential property, don’t despair. At SERVPRO of Spring Valley/Jamul, we are franchise professionals in cleanup, remediation, and restoration from storm damage.
Storms can come during any time of any day or night, which is why we’re available during any time of any day or night. Call 619-600-5305. Not even the most awesome of awesomely awesome people can be at the telephone 24 hours a day, so if you get a request to leave a voicemail, don’t panic. Leave the message, and someone will call within an hour, tops. Regardless, a team will be at your location within four hours (again, tops) of your phone call.
We are and will remain, Faster to any size disaster.
While You Wait for SERVPRO of Spring Valley/Jamul to Arrive
Even at our quickest, we can’t arrive instantaneously. If you’re afraid you will suffer from an internal explosion (purely metaphorical), there are some things you can do before we arrive, and there are some things you should not do.
DO
Find a safe place for people, and pets if you are at home, to hang out if the area might be unsafe.
DON’T
Move any large water-soaked items. Water weighs 8 pounds a gallon. Anything heavy is going to become even heavier. We have the equipment to help us move objects safely.
DO
Move undamaged documents and items to a safe place if you can do so without putting yourself in harm’s way. Whatever the objects are, they are not more valuable than you.
DON’T
(We’re repeating ourselves, but it’s important) Do not put yourself in danger. Don’t go into a fire-struck building unless firefighters tell you it is safe. Don’t turn off circuit breakers or unplug electrical items if you will stand in water.
DO
Turn off water mains or circuit breakers, unplug equipment, if you can do it safely. Try to mop up excess water, and move important or valuable items, but keep safety the priority.
DON’T
Try to figure out which items are beyond remediation. Leave that to us. We might surprise you with what can be saved.
Trivia!
“Rainy Day” by John Lee Hooker is a metaphor for love gone wrong.
